In brief

  • Solana meme coin Chill House surged to a new high after its X account insulted Vitalik Buterin and other crypto founders.
  • The chaos helped pump the token, which briefly hit a new peak above a $30 million market cap.
  • While the daily gains have cooled, Chill House is still up more than 500% this week.

Solana-based meme coin Chill House hit a new all-time high price on Tuesday after its X account publicly berated Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and other notable crypto industry founders.

The Solana token is a playful amalgamation of the TikTok meme Chill Guy and the meme coin Housecoin, which set out to disrupt the housing market. Chill House, as a result, has a mascot with the body of Chill Guy but the face of a house. And whoever is running the Chill House X account has been on a rampage as of late.

“Fuck you and fuck the Ethereum Foundation,” Chill House tweeted at Buterin, attracting over 100,000 views. “Might actually get canceled for this one.”

“Y’all alright man,” the meme coin X account added, tagging both Buterin and the official Ethereum account.

The posts follow identical insults hurled towards Coinbase executive and Base network head Jesse Pollak, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, and prominent Solana builder Mert Mumtaz—all of which replied. Buterin has not yet replied, however.

So, instead, Chill House turned its sights onto crypto influencer Slingoor, publicly tweeting at him, “Fuck you.” Slingoor took the bait, unlike Buterin, as the insult arrived as Chill House flipped the influencer’s favorite token, Unstable Coin, which is gambling on the downfall of stablecoins.

WAIT THIS IS BC YOU GUYS FLIPPED UNSTABLE COIN LMAOUSE!!!!! HAHAHHA WOW, MAN SO EDGY, I WONDER IF I COULD BORROW 5 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME WITH THE INTERN BEHIND THIS ACCOUNT HAHAHAH LMFAO HE’S ACTUALLY UNCHILL WHICH IS THE FUNNY THING, KIND OF LIKE HOW UNSTABLE COIN IS VERY STABLE… pic.twitter.com/zSmTzFd68d

Over the course of seven hours, starting just before the Buterin post, Chill House pumped over 68% from an $18 million market capitalization to $30.24 million. The token closed a single five-minute candle above its previous all-time high market cap of $29.1 million, set in August.

That was before it fell to a market cap of $19.1 million, according to DEX Screener, as investors looked to take profits. It’s still showing a 27% increase over the last 24 hours.

With the fall, Unstable Coin surpassed Chill House in market cap once again as it sits at $22.8 million, per DEX Screener.

Chill House vs. Base vs. Solana

Chill House’s previous insults were somewhat more successful, helping contribute to the token hitting a new high after the Buterin posts.

Late last week, Chill House posted “Fuck you and fuck Base” at Pollak. The head of Base then attempted to “ratio” the post and get more likes, but fell well short of that goal. Crypto podcaster Cobie—whose company Echo was recently acquired by Coinbase—then jumped in the mix, saying that he needs to teach Pollak how to properly ratio someone.

After this interaction, Pollak and Chill House stopped fighting and started flirting instead. Suddenly, Chill House announced that it would be migrating to Base chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network. When Pollak gave genuine advice on how to bridge to Base, Chill House replied, “He thinks I’m really ‘boutta bridge,” then added, “He’s right by the way.”

Now in bed with Base, Chill House started calling Alon Cohen—the founder of the Solana token launchpad Pump.fun, where Chill House was created—a cuckold, aka a person that enjoys their partner sleeping with other people.

“Fuck you and fuck Solana Foundation,” Chill House wrote on X, tagging Solana founder Yakovenko and builder Mumtaz of infrastructure firm Helius.

“Reject modernity. Return to Boden, the potential sleeper for 2028,” Yakovenko replied, referring to the once-prominent, unofficial Joe Biden meme coin.

Pump.fun founder Cohen then joined in on the gag, tagging Chill House in a post simply saying, “Fuck you.”

Somehow this social media chaos helped reunite Chill House with Solana and Pump.fun. That’s why in Chill House’s latest round of insults, the meme coin team targeted Ethereum—the blockchain that Base is built on top of—as it returns to its Solana roots.

Over the past seven days, according to CoinGecko, Chill House has pumped 514%.
