Blockchain game PGA Tour Rise will launch on mobile platforms in 2026.
The game lets players buy, sell, and trade tokenized items via Skale’s new Base network.
Other licensed sports games built around crypto assets include FIFA Rivals and NFL Rivals.
PGA Tour Rise, an officially licensed mobile golf game, is set to roll out in 2026 via a collaboration between the Skale Network, NODE Foundation, and developer Solis Interactive.
The free-to-play game takes the style of an empire-building strategy rather than a typical sports simulation, letting players construct and manage golf operations, compete for resources, and develop courses over time while earning real-world rewards.
PGA Tour Rise players can acquire tokenized clubs, balls, and apparel to enhance performance, with buying, selling, and trading capabilities available through an integrated marketplace. Initial mini-games will launch first ahead of the full game later this year, and players will be able to purchase items using either crypto or credit cards.

The game’s blockchain elements are powered by Skale on Base, the Ethereum layer-2 network incubated by crypto exchange Coinbase. While Skale is best known for its own layer-1 network, it recently launched a layer-3 network built on Base, which will power this particular game.
“We’re incredibly proud to support the launch of this innovative golf game, developed in partnership with the PGA Tour and Solis Interactive,” said Skale Labs co-founder and CEO Jack O’Holleran, in a statement. “This collaboration showcases how blockchain can elevate gaming and sports experience by combining the prestige of the PGA Tour with true ownership through crypto digital assets.”
Eventually, the developers aim to reward players with real-world benefits via team-ups with golf equipment manufacturers, offering discount codes and exclusive merchandise. Prospective players can register now via the official PGA Tour Rise website to receive a free item pack once the game is live.
“We evaluated dozens of blockchain partners before landing on Skale,” said Solis Interactive co-founder and CEO Jay Klauminzer, in a statement. “Their platform lets us focus on building great gameplay instead of worrying about transaction costs killing the user experience. For a strategy game where players are constantly trading and upgrading, seamless transactions are essential.”
The PGA joins a growing pool of sports leagues and organizations with officially licensed games built around blockchain assets, notably with mobile games like FIFA Rivals and NFL Rivals.
